PVC Roof Repair & Maintenance

PVC, or polyvinyl chloride, is made up of a single-ply membrane of thick, flexible, UV-resistant material. PVC is designed to be hot-welded together in order to withstand the weight of ponding water on flat commercial roofs, which occurs when water sits on a roof in stagnant pools for more than 48 hours. PVC repair typically involves an inspection for and repair of several common problems, including ponding, previous improper repair jobs, holes in the membrane, lack of adhesion, open seams, incorrectly welded seams and missing, or improper edge flashing.

Empire roofing has acquired years worth of experience with PVC roof repair and maintenance. Our emergency response time is 2 hours (4 hours maximum) and we have built a reputation as one of the fastest and most efficient in the industry. This means that, no matter what happens, you can rest assured that you have an experience and reliable flat roof maintenance company ready to provide assistance if and when catastrophe strikes.

We endeavour to assist our customers and ensure they are not inadvertently doing things to void their roof warranty. This includes things such as allowing unqualified people or businesses to maintain their commercial roof, not performing regular cleaning or inspection and not warning equipment or servicemen to be careful of punctures when working in the area.

We source our PVC materials from only the most reputable, high-quality suppliers including Firestone, Tremco and IKO, meaning that you can rest assured you are getting only the best value for your money, and roofing materials with the guarantee of some of the most trusted names in the industry. You can be sure that when you deal with Empire Roofing, you are getting only the best the roofing industry has to offer.

We are also strong advocates of preventative maintenance when it comes to flat PVC roofs. Choosing not to implement a maintenance program can cost building owners up to $0.15 per square foot every year. Our maintenance program for our PVC roofs are based on square footage and length of the term of your contract and include things like an evaluation by a seasoned and certified roof inspector, a certification from our industry leading suppliers, regularly scheduled inspections, written inspection reports and digital photographic evidence to keep in your records.

We will evaluate access ladders, hatches, roof membranes, HVAC units, sealants, walkways, roof drains, sheet metal flashings and a range of other common problem areas and fixtures. We also provide our clients with maintenance advice they can employ on their own in between visits to help make sure that their commercial PVC flat roof is structurally sound throughout the year.

Empire Roofing will always provide you with a detailed report summary and necessary documentation for you to satisfy your semi-annual roof inspection obligations and maintenance requirements as laid out by Firestone Building Products for Red Shield Warranted roof systems.
